The future looks bright for Dynamic Lures® and the process of new bait designs. The new fishing lure design process is one that Dynamic Lures® takes very seriously. Many small lure sellers use other manufacturers’ designs and pawn them off as their own. This company does no such. Since the day the brand started, Dynamic Lures® has designed every model from conceptual illustration to the final molding. The research and design process is a lengthy and challenging process. However, the company believes that it takes time to develop a high-quality lure that will stand up to the rigorous conditions that fishermen put them through. The process starts with an idea or ideas that eventually turn into 2D conceptual drawings. This 2-D illustration process can last months until the design has a solid feel and an attractive look.
2D drawings then lead to more dramatic 3D CAD Drawings. This process requires a skilled computer graphic artist to give the idea shape and depth. The developed design exhibits the inner workings of the fishing lure, including areas of weight distribution, stabilization, and component placement. The 3D design stage is an exciting one that can produce many unique ways and angles to look and study a baits shape and size.
From 3D design comes modeling or prototyping. With today’s technology, manufacturers can now create many 3D-printed prototypes at a low cost. The company can use these prototypes to experiment in many ways. Most of the relentless trial and error evaluation is to find areas of improvement before final molding. In this stage, the prototype models get to hit the water and receive real-time testing. Inspecting how the lure swims and reacts to different fishing conditions is all part of the process. Many changes are made at this phase and more prototypes are produced and evaluated. Having several dozen modifications before agreeing on a final design is common.
Final Molding is the final stage of this lure development process. The molding process can be very expensive, so additional changes to the design are not common at this phase. Let us just say that you better have gotten it correct by this point because making alterations from here are too costly. When the mold is perfected, the final product looks detailed and precise. The newly developed fishing lure can now be painted in many different color patterns. Picking patterns are usually based on popular vote or consumer demand. Many of the popular patterns that Dynamic Lures sells consist of colors like Brown Trout, Glimmer Trout, HoloFoil Silver, and Ghost Fish. Look for these in your local tackle shop and be assured that each one of these lures was fully developed and designed to catch fish.
